This pole is too wide to use a U-lock. Besides, shopping center has a policy that bikes can only be locked to racks, but they don't provide them at convenient locations.
Snow bike. Rack at the office is a tire-trap that effectively only has lockup space for two bikes, on both ends of the rack. That's the only two spots where you can use a U-lock and lock the frame.
