A REVOLUTIONARY INSTITUTION OF MODERN DANCE
Repertory Dance Theatre, founded in 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah is a professional modern dance repertory company dedicated to the creation, performance, perpetuation, and appreciation of modern dance. RDT is a living museum representing one hundred years of dance history, preserving the largest and most significant collection of American dance in the world.
On the threshold of our 50th Anniversary season, RDT is delighted to spotlight the work and generosity of RDT alumnus, Francisco Gella who is donating the proceeds of this workshop to help sustain RDT’s Educational Outreach programs. Francisco appreciates the role that RDT played in launching his successful dance career and is committed to building bridges of understanding to help students broaden their appreciation of American dance…past, and present.
In addition to his offering local workshop for the community, Francisco will be in residence working with RDT dancers to create a new piece of choreography which will premiere April 23-25, 2015 on RDT’s REUNION concert.
