(Answer) (Category) Bagpipe FAQ : (Category) There is more than one kind of bagpipe? : (Category) Great Highland Bagpipe (GHB) :
The popular tune I want to play needs a note in between the ones on the chanter. Is there anyway to play these?
Moderator: redbeard@xmission.com (inherited from parent)
Maybe. The GHB chanter is not designed to play these missing notes, e.g. C natural, but some reed and chanter combinations can manage some of them. See John Wash's Stupid Bagpipe Tricks for fingering charts: http://pipes.tico.com/nonsense/fingerings/
