The Sound Canvas
Updated August 9, 2003
Those of you who are lucky enough to own a Roland/Edirol Sound Canvas or any GS compatable wave-table Synth will be able hear this music as it was truly intended. If not then it's likely that all you'll hear is hokey, dinkey toy sounding music that would probably embarrass you if your friends were in the same room.

So, what makes the Sound Canvas so great?

Sound Quality!

Just think...a piano that actually sounds like a piano!
Woodwinds that sound just like woodwinds!
Drums that sound just like drums!
Strings that sound like strings!
Horns sounds like horns!
...etc...

Put your sound card to the test!

The table below consists of a small sampling of what midi files sound like on Steev's Sound Canvas. Also included is the actual midi file that Steev made the samples from so you can make a comparison to your sound card.

NOTE: Steev did not compose any of the music in this section. For his compositions, see the section "Steev's Midi Files" on the Midi Music Page.
