Rish Outfield's reviews
Not a slasher movie, but there was some slashing involved. A fairly tight story about a man who summons a damn-cool-looking demon to wreak vengeance on the punks who inadvertently killed his only son. I really like Lance Henricken, as I've mentioned before), and he adds an earnest, scarred realism to his roles that I appreciate. Still, this movie is extraordinarily grim, and not very fun to watch. Stan Winston's pessimistic directorial debut is only memorable for the frighteningly realistic title monster.
Best Scare: The way the creature walks and moves is pretty spooky, as well as when one realizes what it is turning into.
I'd Recommend it To: Fans of movies about inbred hillbillies, Henriksen fans, and sleepless watchers of elaborate monsters.

The tyranist's thoughts
One of the more original horror films I've seen in a while. There were moments when I just couldn't believe the characters' motives, but really the movie moved along pretty well. I thought that the best thing for the movie would be to make it a little longer. We never really get a chance to know the characters. In the end it really doesn't matter who lived and who survived because we had no reason to care.
