Rish Outfield's reviews
I liked this one more than the first one, but that wouldn't be too hard. This was, in most respects, a bad movie, but at least it was a FUN bad movie, and that should be what this is all about. Angela from the first Sleepaway Camp is back, this time played by Bruce's sister, Pamela Springsteen. And she was kind of likable, in an insane sort of way. This was an interesting idea: a psychotic murderess who is constantly cheerful and upbeat. Even when killing someone (and there was a HUGE body count here, we're talking double digits, folks), she wore a content smile. The dream sequence in this movie was one of the most unnecessary sequences in modern film. Although the acting was pretty awful (another star's sister, Emilio Estevez's this time is the second lead), Angela has an undeniable pleasant charm. And there was a lot of nudity. In actuality, the positives outweighed the negatives on this one, and I've seen so much worse.
Note: The last message, "Thank you for watching the credits," gave me sudden pause. It was quite a profound message in a shallow movie. Think about it for a minute.
Best Scare: Probably the outhouse death--I liked that girl! Oh, wait--the dead bodies in the cabin seemed somewhat disturbing. I'll vote for that.
I'd Recommend It To: Silly Slasher Movie fans.

The tyranist's thoughts
The first Sleepaway Camp was so bad that I had absolutely no expectations for this one. That, of course, made the fact that it was at least a million times better than the first one a big suprise. It wasn't in the league of any of the best horror films, but it was very entertaining and didn't take itself as seriously as the first. I had a lot of fun laughing and predicting who would die next.
