Rish Outfield's reviews
This is going to sound crazy, but I don't really remember seeing this movie.
Aside from that, this was a murder mystery with a cop pursuing a killer who may or may not be a vampire. Okay, I'll
spoil it for you, he isn't. This movie was pretty mediocre. It wasn't good enough to be worth seeing, and it wasn't
bad enough to be entertaining. On the other hand, virtually all female characters appear naked. It got pretty boring
at times, with seemingly unrelated sequences, sometimes culminating in a murder, sometimes not. The cop was pretty
likable. He was a brilliantly original character--a detective that doesn't play by the rules and secretly follows the
murder investigation even after he's been taken off the case. He had a piano-playing next door neighbour love
interest, but I have no idea why I would tell you that. Bizarrely, there was a Flashdance-style dance sequence
midway through. Huh? Later, there was another one, but by then, we knew how it related to the rest of the film. There
was a little bit of 80's fun (ie music, hair, clothes, and feel), but hey, Terminator
has all that, and none of the negative stuff. When the movie was over, I just scratched my head. Not only did it not
manage to entertain, but if the killer wasn't a real vampire, then where did all the blood of his victims go?
