Spectre's Review
Another Lon Nolan adventure. There sure isn't a whole lot to this book. Or to the series, for that matter. However, this time there's a girl, and Lon falls head over heals for her. Very moral, very clean, and quite well done, overall. Even though there are very few new elements, the story is quite enjoyable.

There's something about simple combat from the ground-pounder's perspective. The pace of action is just about right, with a little twist of romance and new technology to keep me motivated. Shelley does a good job of keeping the reader interested, even though the outcome is pretty well known ahead of time. The only thing you don't really know is who is going to live and who is going to die. One nice thing about Shelley's books is that you really don't know (minus the main character, of course).

A solid addition to the series.

Spectre's Rating
Minus one for the same old plot. Minus one for lack of advanced story elements.
