tyranist's Review
The final book of this trilogy is in some ways also the first. Not only because it ends with a beginning, but because it finally provides
the origins of everything else in the other books. It kind of feels like Saberhagen needed one more book and decided to tie things up by
writing the history that he had invented for this world. Don't get me wrong. You shouldn't read this book first, it would ruin somethings,
but in some other important ways, this feels like the first.
The book moves quickly after the first two even though there is a lot of exposition that occurs. The story is actually pretty straight-forward,
but it is overshadowed by a lot of the information given by Saberhagen. The more I think about it, the more I think it is a very well-written
end to the trilogy even though it wouldn't stand alone as a good book.
There you go. That's it. Definitely read this book, but read the other two first.
