Spectre's Review
Although the abstract is pretty lame (sorry), the book was great. I love the combination of wizardry and science. The
two-headed autarch was a pretty cool idea, and it was hilarious how Severian killed him. I also liked the battle between
Severian and the giant Baldanders. I was a bit disappointed in the destruction of Terminus Est, but that's the way these
things fly sometimes. The series keeps getting better and easier to get into. I know I'm not becoming desensitized to the
writings, because I keep going over the first book and wondering how I made it through that one.
