tyranist's Review
One of the things that most fascinates me is when an author can blend fantasy and science fiction seamlessly. This trilogy is a sterling example of that. Cast in our earth's distant future, magic reigns but technology can still be found in small places. As the novels proceed there is more and more conflict between the two as well as more and more use of both by every one.
The other element that stands out in this trilogy is the average hero. He isn't a typical hero, but he isn't an anti-hero. He is really just an average man and that shines on the page making him very accessible. This trilogy has endured very, very well and probably longer than it should have. Take time to enjoy it.
