Whispers of Oblivion
This video does not contain narration that spells out everything happening on the screen, as it assumes the viewer is comparing the action with the mini map and with the objectives, and is then actively figuring out what’s going on. Some of the discussion that is here includes a non-fanboy assessment of whether Whispers of Oblivion is much of a step forward in StarCraft II mission development by Blizzard.
In the Ghosts in the Fog mission, one thing to try for base defense instead of cannons is putting probes out on approach paths to serve as an early warning system so you can get your army back in time to defend.
Blizzard is renaming “Allied Commanders”; it’ll now be called “Co-op Missions.”
One additional tidbit of information for people new to StarCraft II: if your Mac is having graphics difficulties after several minutes of play, and if it starts freezing, it’s possibly too hot. Check temps with something like iStat Pro, and use something like smcFanControl if necessary to cool things down.
