What is StarCraft II? Should You Play It?

One additional tidbit of information for people new to StarCraft II: if your Mac is having graphics difficulties after several minutes of play, and if it starts freezing, it’s possibly too hot. Check temps with something like iStat Pro, and use something like smcFanControl if necessary to cool things down.
The Mar Sara (James Raynor) Missions
There’s a boo boo in the video: control groups and buildings are hot keyed to “1,” “2,” “3,” etc., not “F1,” “F2,” “F3,” etc.
The Prophecy (Zeratul) Missions
In Echoes of the Future, the other obelisk is up a ramp to the north of the base. When playing In Utter Darkness, remember that Carriers don’t build interceptors automatically, unless you command them to do so by clicking the appropriate autocast button.
The Rebellion (Matt Horner) Missions
The third defiler bone sample in The Great Train Robbery isn’t southwest; you go out the southwest base entrance, but then down to the track that is furthest south, and then follow it down and toward the east; it’s right next to the track.
The Great Train Robbery is fun with tanks.
The Artifact (Tychus Finley) Missions
Oops: On “Moebius Factor” the correct direction is SSE, not WSW.
The Colonist (Dr. Ariel Hanson) Missions
Note that another fun way to play the Outbreak mission is with Banshees, day and night.
The Final Wings of Liberty Missions
What with William Shatner lecturing, Holy Grail subtitles, and all the rest, it’s hard to imagine a more delightful set of videos than the Gosu Academy videos, but the end of the All In video takes the cake, if you don’t mind learning the astounding truth about StarCraft II.
