Dig Me!
Well, what ELSE would you call it? I mean, this is the page where I tell you all the sordid and boring details about me and my family, right? Dig me, right? It's been a while since I've updated this page, so figured now that I've got a little time, might as well fix it up!
This is me with my wife, Judy. We've been married since September 20, 1980. We first met when we were in High School w-a-y over in Spain. Yep, Spain. We're both military brats, and our fathers were stationed over there. That was back in 1970. I managed to finish 20 years in the Air Force - 'retired' in October 1992, then got a job as a Field Service Rep with L-3 Communications. Judy worked for many years as a Housekeeping Manager at a local La Quinta hotel and trust me, she worked a lot more than I do! She has since decided to be one of those "domestic goddesses" and spends her time taking care of our home, the menagerie (2 dogs and 4 cats!), and volumes upon volumes of photo scrapbooking projects.
And yes, we have kids! This is David and his son, Gabriel. David has had maybe more than his share of problems, the most recent being the task of learning how to be a single Dad. But, he's doing a damn fine job of coping and hasn't given up. I'm not sure if that's his resilient personality or if he has just inherited the strong stubborn streak from his ol' man! The kid is one good looking dude, and if any there are any representatives from famous modeling agencies or movie studios looking at this, write me and I'll send you a portfolio for him!
And this is Susan. I'm afraid she grew up way too fast for me. Susan has had her own share of marital problems but is moving on quite nicely on her own, thank you very much. Hard to believe she graduated high school, got married, moved to North Carolina, graduated from Community College, got divorced and moved back home all before she is 25! She's also very sharp on the computer and has made her own home page, so you can find out more about her over at "Susan's Home Page". I am so proud of her accomplishments in school - she was listed in the "Who's Who of American High School Students" and found the only college education available in her area of North Carolina and finished it. She now works with a local veterinarian and seems very happy. Okay, I admit it, she's 'Daddy's Girl'!
Finally, I am proud to introduce the newest member of our family, Gabriel Wayne Watson - born on November 30th, 2002. I'm not too sure about this "Grandpa" business, but also have to admit that I couldn't be more thrilled! I know we're not the first to be grandparents, but it's a first for US and let me tellya, folks... there's just nothing like seeing your own children have THEIR children!!
And that's about it, at least for now. Thanks for taking an interest, and I hope you enjoy the rest of my Web site!! And please... sign my guestbook before you leave!
