Following a part in the book about
a TV talk show on open marriage and
homosexuality:
"Is it any wonder that homosexuality is considered 'contagious'? It spreads, and this kind of publicity is the vehicle for its propagation. Sometimes I think we have become so blind to evil that we wouldn't recognize immorality if it were an elephant coming through the door. Someone would say, 'It's just a mouse with a glandular condition,' and everyone would nod in agreement.
"I'm reminded of the eternal words of the prophet Isaiah, 'Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter...'
"Morality and immorality are not defined by man's changing attitudes and social customs. They are determined by the God of the universe, whose timeless standards cannot be ignored with impunity!"

Excerpt of a letter he wrote
to the talk show:
"Thus, two more hours of destructive propaganda were injected directly
into the veins of the American home, where it could rot us from within.
At least the Trojan Horse contained soldiers who were recognized as the
enemy; you have invaded us with insidious philosophies, carefully
disguised as humor and entertainment. How many teenagers and children
watched your show on Dec. 9, each comparing his values to the foolish advice
regurgitated by your guests? (They'll hear it again tomorrow night,
and again and again and again.) How many wives found in your words,
the
courage they needed to abandon
their responsibilities at home? How many husbands, decided during
your program to accept those extramarital sexual opportunities they had
been declining? How many children will someday have you to blame
for the disintegration of everything stable in their lives? I can't
supply the numerical answers to these questions, but I do know you
and your colleagues are systematically
undermining the foundation of the family. And when it collapses,
you and I and the rest of our society will disintegrate with it.
I have only one voice, but I am going to do my best to make it heard on
this subject.
Most Sincerely,
James C. Dobson, Ph.D.

Dr. Dobson is not L.D.S. , but
a good Christian leader. I would highly recommend his book!
He heads an organization called "Focus on the Family" that fights evil
and strengthens families.
