Family History Library to Hold
Classes on Capturing and
Publishing Family History
Have you
ever wanted to compile a family history but just didn’t know where to
begin? Now is your chance to learn. In the upcoming weeks the Family History
Library is offering classes in capturing and publishing family history. A series of classes on Capturing Your Family
History will be held on Saturday,
September 8, 2007, and will cover the topics
of capturing oral histories, writing your personal history, creating a
family
web site, and organizing a family reunion.
Then on Saturday, September
15, 2007, there will be classes on
Publishing Your Family History including how to prepare your history
for
publication and how to use the Personal Ancestral File genealogy
software to
create a book. The classes will be held
on the main floor of the library. To view

Saturday September 22, 2007,
the Family History Library will offer a series of
classes on researching your Swedish ancestry. The topics include
beginning
research, church records, the clerical survey, probate records, and
emigration
records. The classes are 90 minutes each and will run from 9 AM to 6 PM. They will be taught in the classroom on the

Series of Classes on Emigration/Immigration
On
Saturday, September
29, 2007, the Family History Library is offering an
all-day
series of classes on Finding Your Immigrant Ancestors. Specific topics
include
Religious Migration, Tracing Immigrant Origins, U.S. Naturalization
Records,
Profile of a 19th Century European Emigrant, and British
Emigration
Sources. Classes run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will be held in the
main floor
