'Retain Bureau' Will Be Appeal

Petition for a referendum of the council's action in abolishing the Woman's Protective Bureau will be circulated by the friends of Mrs. Joseph Whitnah, secretary of the bureau, whose position would be vacated, following a meeting of the Social Worker's Club to be held Thursday noon it was declared today. Also a petition is being circulated in the meantime asking the council to reconsider its action of yesterday, in passing to print the ordinance to abolish the office in question.

A committee has been named by the Central Labor Council to investigate that matter and also that of the municipal woodyard.
