Every year 132 Utahns die because they cannot afford basic healthcare. Thousands more will needlessly endure extreme pain. If state leaders knew that 132 people were going to die in a mud slide or forest fire they would take action to save those lives. The groups involved with the Utah Poverty Partnership are working together to convince our elected officials to take Utah's healthcare crisis just as seriously. What can you do to help?

1. Place a "Basic healthcare is not a luxury" bumper sticker on your car.
2. Write a letter or email to your state senator and representative asking them what they are doing about this problem.
3. Join one of the groups involved with the Utah Poverty Partnership.
4. Show up to the next Utah Poverty Partnership event. Contact Bill Tibbitts for more information.
