Apple Pie Filling
 
 
5 cups    Sugar  
1 cup    Cornstarch  
10 cups    Water  
3 tsp    Cinnamon  
1 tsp    Salt  
1/4 tsp    Nutmeg  
dash    Cloves  
 
Boil until thick and then add 1/2 cup lemon juice. Pour over sliced apples in bottles and process for 20 minutes.
 
Yield: 6 quarts
