Basic Tomato Sauce
 
 
1 Tbs    Olive Oil  
1 sm    Onion, diced tomatoes  
2 cloves    Garlic  
28 oz    Whole Tomatoes in Juice  
1/4 tsp    Dried Oregano  
  Salt & Pepper  
 
1 In a medium saucepan, heat 1 Tablespoon olive oil over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic, stirring frequently, until translucent, 2-4 minutes.
2 Add tomato juice and oregano. Simmer, stirring occasionally, breaking up tomatoes with a spoon, until thickened, 20-30 minutes. Season with coarse salt and pepper.
