Carmel Muffins
 
 
1 cup    Milk  
1 tsp    Baking Soda  
2 cups    Flour  
1 cup    Brown Sugar  
1/2 cup    Shortening  
1   Egg  
1 tsp    Vanilla  
pinch    Salt  
 
1 Dissolve soda in milk. Combine other ingredients together adding milk mixture last.
2 Use alll the batter to filll 12 baking cups. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
 
Yield: 12 muffins
