Chocolate Chip Cookies
 
 
3/4 cup    Sugar  
3/4 cup    Brown sugar, packed  
1 cup    butter, softened  
1   Egg  
1 tsp    Vanilla  
1 tsp    Baking Soda  
1/2 tsp    Salt  
2 1/4 cups    Flour  
2 cups    Chocolate chips  
1 cup    Chopped Nuts, optional  
 
1 Preheat oven to 375°.
2 Mix sugars, butter, egg and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Dough should be stiff and not sticky. If still sticky, slowly add flour.
3 Drop by Tablespoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. (the centers will be soft)
 
Yield: 4 Dozen
