In a saucepan, combine butter and unsweetened chocolate. Melt stirring constantly. Cool. Stir in sugar and peppermint extract. Add eggs, flour, and salt. Stir until well blended. |

Spread into a 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25-35 minutes. Cool. |

Frosting: Combine powdered sugar, cocoa powder, butter, water and peppermint extract until well blended. Spread over brownies. |
