| Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla thoroughly. Sift flour, soda and salt. Add dry ingredients gradually to creamed mixture. Add 1/2 cup M&M. Use 1c M&M to decorate cookies. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375°.
