DCI has experience in the design and manufacture of complete materials testing systems for unique or very specialized applications. DCI designs and manufactures testing system components to meet specific test requirements. These test systems also frequently include custom control and data acquisition systems, uniquely configured to meet the customer's requirements. A few examples of custom materials test systems are listed below:

• Rock mechanics test systems for triaxial testing of rock and similar materials at simulated downhole conditions (overburden stress, horizontal stress, pore pressure, etc.).
  
• Single cutter test systems for testing PCD cutters in rock samples at simulated downhole conditions (overburden stress, pore pressure, borehole pressure, etc.).
  
• Drilling test systems. Laboratory-scale instrumented drilling systems to allow evaluation of drilling parameters at surface conditions or simulated downhole conditions.
  
• Rock Planar. Three-axis, computer-controlled test system for evaluation of drill bit cutter performance at atmospheric conditions.
  
• PCTEST. PC-based generalized material test control system. A low cost solution to upgrading controls for older material testing systems
