Before Christians
start thumping the Bible to justify hate for homosexuality,
keep in mind that the Bible also condemns those who masturbate.
Unless you are masturbation free, based on the standards
of the Bible, you are no better off than the homosexuals
and other "sinners" described in the Bible.
So if you masturbate then biblically you're on the same
moral level as homosexuals or non-believers and have no
right to cast stones at others.
Not Just "the Bible"; rather, God, speaking through His
Prophets in the Bible, AND Jesus, speaking to all, in the
Bible. God, and His Son - the only Being who could state,
with Authority, what God believed - sharing an identical
condemnation of masturbation and lust.

to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he
spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed
to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the
LORD: wherefore he slew him also."

Catholic Church Condemns Masturbation
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (1994 pp. 564-566)
lists six "Offenses against chastity": lust, masturbation,
fornication, pornography, prostitution, and rape.
"2352 By masturbation is to be understood the deliberate
stimulation of the genital organs in order to derive sexual
pleasure. "Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the
course of a constant tradition, and the moral sense of the
faithful have been in no doubt and have firmly maintained
that masturbation is an intrinsically and gravely disordered
action."[137] "The deliberate use of the sexual faculty,
for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially
contrary to its purpose." For here sexual pleasure is sought
outside of "the sexual relationship which is demanded by
the moral order and in which the total meaning of mutual
self-giving and human procreation in the context of true
love is achieved."[138]
To form an equitable judgment about the subjects' moral
responsibility and to guide pastoral action, one must take
into account the affective immaturity, force of acquired
habit, conditions of anxiety, or other psychological or
social factors that lessen or even extenuate moral culpability.
