GIFTRANS is a utility that converts GIF87a files to GIF89a files. It can also add comments, set the background color, set the transparent color, and other numerous operations.

HOWTO.TXT (4,486 Bytes)
HOWTO.TXT are detailed instructions on creating transparent GIF's using the LView Professional and GIFTRANS utilities.

LVIEWP1A.ZIP (304,843 Bytes)
LView Professional is a very nice image processing and graphics file conversion utility. It handles a number of formats including GIF, TIFF, JPEG, BMP, TARGA and PCX file formats.
