Obituary: Winona D Dutson

DESERET - Winona Dewsnup Dutson, age 88, died May 29, 2001 in Deseret.

Born October 16, 1912 in Deseret to Henry and Mary Jane Williams Dewsnup.
Married Ormus L. Dutson October 17, 1935 in Salt Lake Temple. He died February
19, 1991. Educated in Deseret and Hinckley. Musically talented. BYU graduate.
Taught in Millard County schools for 33 years. Especially enjoyed teaching
the skills of reading and penmanship. Enjoyed teaching. Faithful member
LDS Church. Served in various assignments including over 20 years as ward
organist. Greatest enjoyment was time with sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Loving tender care will be missed. Participated in operation of Dutson
Honey Company, established 1935. Involved moving to Southern California
three to four months every spring to care for bees. Later the bee business
included Dawson Creek, Canada which she enjoyed.

Survived by sons: June L. Dutson, Gary D. (Loene) Dutson, both Deseret;
Gill H. (Lori) Dutson, Ogden; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
sisters: Arprilla (Milden) Scow, Deseret ; Ulala Mace, Delta. Preceded
in death by infant daughter: Loma.

Funeral services Saturday June 2, 2001, 11 a.m., Deseret-Oasis Ward in
Deseret. Friends call at Church Saturday 9:30 - 10:40 a.m.. Burial Deseret
Cemetery under direction of Nickle Mortuary.

Arprilla D. Scow
1918 ~ 2003

DESERET- Arprilla Dewsnup Scow, 85, passed away on November 19, 2003 in
Delta, Utah after a prolonged illness.

Arprilla was born on May 16, 1918 in Deseret, Utah, to Henry and Mary
Jane "Mollie" Dewsnup.

She married Milden Wood Scow on December 24, 1939. Their marriage was
solemnized in the Manti Temple in 1965. Mel died May 13, 2003.

Arprilla grew up in Deseret, Utah where she also lived after her
marriage. She, along with her husband, owned and operated the Deseret Cash
Store for 40 years until it was destroyed in the 1983 flood. She worked as a
secretary at the Delta High School for 18 years. Arprilla was an active member
of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Arprilla was an active member of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a great love for music
and served as the ward chorister for most of her life. Aprilla served in many
different Church positions including managing the Beehive Clothing Center in
Delta. Arprilla generously shared her time and talents in serving her family,
friends, and community throughout her life.

Arprilla is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law: Darrel and Alice
Gaye Scow of Sandy; and her Sister: Ulala Mace of Delta. Arprilla has seven
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents: Henry and Mary Jane "Mollie"
Dewsnup; her Husband: Milden Wood Scow; her Son: Henry Kent Dewsnup; and her
Sister: Winona Dutson.

At Arprilla's request, graveside services only, will be held Monday, Nov.
24, 2003, 11:30 a.m. at the Deseret Cemetery. Family and friends may call at a
viewing Sunday evening from 7 to 8 p.m., and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the
Nickle Mortuary. Family prayer will immediately follow the Monday viewing.
Procession will then travel to the Deseret Cemetery for graveside services.
Arprilla will be greatly missed
