bullet  Marriage Notes:

Excerpt from the life history of Olive HEYWOOD:

Aunty Clara married a Canadian named Norman COSSAR and went to live in Winnipeg Canada where she had four children, Grace, Ella, Lillian and Ernest. She lived in a wooden house of some kind and when Uncle Norman went to the war Aunty Clara had to go out to work to keep them and it was during one of these time (before Ernest was born) and Lillian still a baby that Grace and Ella were left in the house and Gracie was told to mind the baby, They were playing when a paper rack fell down and set fire to the house. Gracie sent Ella out to get help but by opening the door it fanned the flames and Gracie was found with her arms around the baby trying to lift her to save her life. Apparently Gracie was a little soldier was Salvation Army and all her little friends sang at the funeral. Aunty Clara had not been able to cry until then.
----------------------------
A photo of Clara, Grace and Ella was taken in May 1913 in Winnipeg so Lillian was not yet born but the fire occurred 1814 to 1918 so the baby Lillian was born in this time period.
