Scottish Places of Forsyth Interests
Photos courtesy of Robert Forsyth-a past V.P.of Clan Forsyth Society of Scotland who specially made a stop at this Kirk on my behalf while traveling from his home near Glasgow, on clan Society business in Edinburgh. Jerry Gustafson-USA member from Oklahoma, also sent in pictures to me from his family trip.
The opposite side view from the road parallel to the Kirk 'O' Shotts that can be seen on a south hilltop from highway M8 about 1/3 of the way east of Glasgow towards Edinburgh. You can see it clearly while traveling M8. Forsyths living in this area worshiped at this Kirk. We found some Forsyth people buried here when we visited for a few hours in 2003. We were also able to visit the inside of this great, old church. It was stunning.
Front entrance view of the Kirk 'O' Shotts from the south west.
Headstone of Robert Forsyth seen at the east side of the Kirk. The reverse side has the names of his Children listed but not shown here. There is a relationship here with my (Dale M. Forsyth Sandusky) Forsyth family.
