A group of relatives gather for Thanksgiving and end up at each other's throats. This familiar premise is the basis for director Jodie Foster's dreary comedy "Home for the Holidays". Despite an impressive cast which includes Holly Hunter, Robert Downey Jr., and Anne Bancroft, this movie is about as funny as heart surgery and about as revealing as a canvas overcoat. Folks, we've seen this all before, and better, in films such as "The Ref". Don't let the holiday spirit sway you into seeking out this turkey.
