ROBERT BERRY'S
WEIRD MOVIE STUFF #3

MOVIE QUOTE OF THE DAY

"I don't eat too many hamburgers 'cause my girlfriend's a vegetarian,
and that pretty much makes me a vegetarian."
                        -Jules (Sam Jackson) PULP FICTION

AMAZING MOVIE FACTS (with extra "FIND THE BOGUS FACT" decoy inside!)
  1. Since the TV Show MORK & MINDY, Robin Williams has had quite an aversion to having his likeness used in merchandising. HOOK action figures featured a not too Robin looking Peter Pan, and there were no ALLADIN toys that used his Genie voice. (The MOSCOW ON THE HUDSON inflatable love doll I have is an exceptionally rare collector's item because of this) This was also a small factor that helped Warner Brothers decide NOT to cast him as The Riddler in BATMAN FOREVER.

  2. After the closing credits for YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES are through, an extra scene comes on that changes the ending somewhat. (How's that for vague?)

  3. Famous movies where actors or stuntmen died in the film:

  4. OJ Simpson really died from smoke inhalation during a particularly tragic accident in THE TOWERING INFERNO, and was replaced by a surgically alterred Nipsey Russell in the years that followed. Ironically it was Nipsey's wacky rhyming comedy style that inspired Johnny Cochran to come up with the famous, "If it doesn't fit" sing-song rhyme. New tests will find Nipsey Russell's DNA swimming all over Rockingham and Bundy.

  5. Courtney Love of "Hole" and Cobain fame made her film debut in Alex Cox's film STRAIGHT TO HELL, which also features Clash singer, Joe Strummer. The film is nothing to write home about. Cox, of course, directed SID AND NANCY, wich introduced Gary Oldman and Chloe Webb to the world.

***SECRET MOVIE REVIEW OF THE DAY***

BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES
Not necessarily the best of the series, but a lot of fun, as the final prequel in the timeline that takes place before the first (huh?) features a final climactic humans vs apes showdown. This also features a glimpse of ape justice as they chase the offending gorilla up a tree shouting the famous phrase, "APE HAS KILLED APE! APE HIS KILLED APE!" Also enjoy the questionable casting of songwriter/"actor" Paul Williams, and classic director great John Huston as other apes.
