It will take quite a lot to step out from under the shadow of her sister. If she keeps up the hard work she may one day ride with the light horse. If thats her inclination."

History
Gwynneth is a 20 year old woman with plain features and extremely long hair tied into two intricate braids.  She wears leather armor over a simple earth-tone robe, carries a shield bearing the Lighthorse crest, and is armed with a hidden dagger and a razor-sharp spear.

A member of the noble family of Chamberlain, one of the leadership families of the Astoria Lighthorse, she is considered a Princeling, though she has no ambitions for greater status.  She is not destined for command of a Lighthorse company, and does not wish it, so she will forever remain a Princeling.

Gwynneth's sister is Lady Chamberlain, the commander of the Astoria Lighthorse at The Chalice.  Gwynneth is heading for the war zone to serve as a Shield Maiden (a general-purpose squire for all members of the unit) in her sister's company.  Shield Maidens take care of the unit's horses (grooming, stabling, feeding, shoeing), care for barding and tack, and provide defense for the horses while on tethered picket and for the Lighthorse encampment as a whole.  A Lighthorse unit might have a dozen such shield maidens in service at any given time.  They are respected by the men.

Gwynneth is accompanying 200 Lighthorse reinforcements from Astoria (along with 6 other shield maidens.)  In addition to serving, she wants to console her sister for the loss of her fiance, and possibly convince her to give up command and return to her family in Astoria...she has nothing left to prove.
