Packaging:

40# Kevlar tied to 18mm engine:

Got to this point dry fitted, then used four drops of CA on the ends, then applied wood glue w toothpicks to each frame connection and at tube joints. I TRIED to save weight here!

The rubber bands worked pretty well. The "skin" went on nice and tight to the frame.

I do not like plastic cement - I used CA everywhere it told me to use the forbidden substance!

All primered up - I'm used to primering before painting!? Hmmm - primer AND paint in one step? OK (next model)

Painted in Restoleum Metallic Aluminum #249128. Still adding black paint and details - this model wants more details!
Using paint pens and permanent markers for detailing.

What a difference decals make! Pretty good set of waterslides - fairly sturdy too

Now, I have a Fleet of Asteroid Hunters!!!

Finished with 2 coats of Minwax Polycrylic - 114.3 grams! (no chute or engine)
