1999 Institute Schedule - Jordan High School Thursday June 10, 1999 First Week Unit Teacher Workshops 4:30 p.m. TW Registration in Foyer Friday June 11, 1999 and Saturday June 12, 1999 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Classes (First Week Unit participants will be able to observe during the regular Institute week and will have a final one hour class on Fri. June 18, at 1:00 p. m.) Monday June 14, 1999 Teacher Workshops & Advanced String Camp 8:45 a.m. Second Week Unit TW Registration 10:00 a.m. Advanced String Camp Registration 10:30 a.m. _ 12:30 p.m. ASC Orchestra Rehearsals Tuesday June 15, 1999 9:00 a.m. Teacher Workshop & ASC Orchestras Enrolled participants and faculty will enjoy an outdoor BBQ. Others may pre-purchase tickets with registration. Wednesday June 16, 1999 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 a.m. Classes *Snack Break: To facilitate the commuter at our institute we are having a short snack break before our evening concerts. All teachers, students and parents will be provided with a fruit/cookies snack Weds., Thurs., and Fri. evenings. The concerts will be over by 6:30 each evening to allow plenty of time for dinner. We will also offer the snack Saturday at 12:30 to those participating in the chamber concerts. Thursday June 17, 1999 Same schedule as Wednesday except: 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Fun Night Presentation Friday June 18, 1999 Same schedule as Wednesday except: 1:00 p.m. TW First Week Unit-final class Saturday June 19, 1999 9:00 a.m.. 10:00 a.m. Classes No evening concerts on Saturday. At 2:00 p.m. the institute will be over. Honors Recitals Included with your confirmation letter, you will receive a form to audition for noontime Honors Recitals. Students are encouraged to prepare solos and send in audition tapes under their teacher's supervision. All levels beyond book one will be considered. Tapes will be due May 10, 1999. Accompanists will be provided. Our students and administration take pride in our brand new campus and we appreciate you taking pride in it also. We hope you enjoy your visit and ask that you comply with the following policies: 1. No firearms, tobacco, drugs or alcoholic beverages are allowed on campus. No food is allowed in the classrooms. 2. There is a fee if school property is damaged or destroyed. 3. Please do not attach, without permission and instructions, signs, posters or other articles to walls, doors, furniture or fixtures. They may be damaged in ways you would not expect. 4. Please keep children supervised at all times. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult on campus. 5. Please have respect for Jordan High School faculty as they may be on campus during your visit. 6. Please clean areas that you use. Leave it the way you would like to find it. Thank You!
