Fatigue crept over Yul. Was he foolish to suggest that the party continue through the night? If he survived until sunlight, perhaps it was the right choice.
"The right choice," Yul mumbled to himself. "Sometimes what is right is not what is prudent."
Although Yul had been trained in a bushi school and had been taught the customs of Rokugan, sometimes there were certain pecularities that didn't sit well with him. "Why could they not see that running strait towards an unknown enemy is foolish and dangerous? Could they not see the merit in strategizing? Surely the Scorpion and those who backed off or hid themselves understood this?"
Yet in these thoughts, Yul found himself feeling guilty. Yes, Katai was foolish for charging towards an unknown foe (as if he wished to die), but it was perhaps wrong for Yul to distance himself in hopes of minimizing the amount of blood shed among his companions. In doing what his instinct told him to do, Yul abandoned what was "right." This is the one thing of Rokugani tradition that will always seem somewhat foreign to Yul: What is right is often times what is foolish.
As Yul stared blankly ahead he noticed that his "passenger" was rustling. "What next?" he thought.
