A Green Shrine

Walking in the city of Otosan Uchi was disheartening to me to say the least. During my stay in the walls of Shinden Osano-Wo, I had heard stories of the great shrines found in the capital of Rockugan. At the time all I wanted to do was to tend to the least of these shrines. Well at least I was able to do just that. However it was under circumstances that I would never have dreamed of.

I feel blessed by the Fortunes, especially my master Osano-wo himself to be able to prepare the grounds of the Otomo shrine. May the ancestors of the Otomo find some peace in the place so desecrated by vile filth and evil. Once, I was told that even the very spirit of Osano-wo lived in the hearts of many in this once great city, but now the blood just boils madly with only very little direction. The burrows of men that are left in this desolate place are filled with an incense of madness. This is appealing to many in such dire circumstances I guess, since even I found these tastes almost intoxicating.

The madness of Osano-wo is not madness but rather it is rage and anger unleashed against its enemies in a mastered furry. These men seem to be just picking from the bones that the denizens of evil have left behind. I am comforted in a slight manner to see that many of the shrines are still standing and are waiting for righteous offerings to be made, and that there are those who still have their honor to defend this place that was once holy ground. For every year that Osano-wo gives me to serve him, I shall make a pilgrimage to Otosan Uchi to keep and prepare the shrines that are here. Someone needs to do this.
