; Today's image lies near a tiny minibrot that lies near a larger 
; minibrot that in turn lies near an even larger but still very 
; small minibrot just beyond the large minibrot on the main stem 
; of the parent Mandelbrot set, which has been corrupted deep in 
; its depths by Z^(11) energies.

; I named the image "Solar Prominences" when the curving filament 
; loops around the edges of the scene reminded me of the 
; prominences seen through a telescope around the edge of the 
; sun's obscured disk during a total solar eclipse.

; Both the art and math aspects are far enough above average to 
; rate a 7.  Fifteen minutes of extra attention to the colors 
; raised the art to this same level.  The unexpected combination 
; of quadratic and order-11 features raises the math to the same 
; level.

; Today could best be described as variably cloudy, warm and humid 
; with a chance of showers.  The temperature of 88F-(the official 
; U.S. temperature) 31C-(the temperature in the rest of the world) 
; was what is usually expected at this warmest time of year in 
; Central Pennsylvania.  The expected thunder showers finally 
; arrived in the evening.  The fractal cats took the day as easy 
; as possible, while the fractal humans did the same.
