You should read Alexander Elder=92s =93Trading for a Living=94. If you =
search for
it on Amazon you=92ll find it (hardcover) plus a practice manual =
(softcover).
I have the original book and think it=92s very useful. I don=92t have =
the
practice manual so I can=92t comment on that.

If you have a chance you might want to download free investor ed .pdf =
files
(view using free Adobe reader) from the ClearStation website (
www.clearstation.com <http://www.clearstation.com/> ). That site leans
heavily on Elder=92s book and the .pdf files explain the MACD/histogram =
and
stochastic charts in a less technical way than Elder. If you like what =
you
read in the .pdf files then you should definitely pick up Elder=92s =
book.

I'd also be interested in recommendations for other must-reads in the =
area
of tech analysis and trading systems. I am a statistician by trade and =
thus
am not particularly daunted by numbers and such, but I prefer books on =
this
subject that are reasonably easy to understand and without too many =
Greek
letters.
