Thanks for the suggestions, David. I'm very familiar with Clearstation =
and use the site to track my portfolios. Several years back when I first =
started to get interested in tech analysis, I read through all of the CS =
education pages. I'm sure that by now I've read most of them 3 or 4 =
times.

Subject: RE: [CANSLIM] Book suggestions
You should read Alexander Elder=92s =93Trading for a Living=94. If =
you search for it on Amazon you=92ll find it (hardcover) plus a practice =
manual (softcover). I have the original book and think it=92s very =
useful. I don=92t have the practice manual so I can=92t comment on =
that.
=20
If you have a chance you might want to download free investor ed .pdf =
files (view using free Adobe reader) from the ClearStation website =
(www.clearstation.com). That site leans heavily on Elder=92s book and =
the .pdf files explain the MACD/histogram and stochastic charts in a =
less technical way than Elder. If you like what you read in the .pdf =
files then you should definitely pick up Elder=92s book.

I'd also be interested in recommendations for other must-reads in the =
area of tech analysis and trading systems. I am a statistician by trade =
and thus am not particularly daunted by numbers and such, but I prefer =
books on this subject that are reasonably easy to understand and without =
too many Greek letters.
