I'm back from The Big Easy, reeling from the inevitable excesses (Bocca's,
Galatoire's, and Nola's...a gastronomic trifecta...maginifique!).

The debate over a "mother list" of stocks we're watching is really
interesting; most certainly more spirited than I would have imagined. But,
I'm new and maybe this is SOP. I monitored it from The Big Easy, and it
took everything I could muster NOT to intervene, as I had promised, until my
return. (As it turns out, that gave me an enlightening perspective on the
group dynamics herein.)

So here's my take:

1) I'm still firmly convinced that mutual debate over a select group is
healthy and informative and speaks to the overall objectives of this list;

2) I'm remiss for not emphasizing the nature of the list as one of watch
stocks versus picks.  I loathe "picks", too;

3) That, more importantly than anything, it is clear we're an amalgamation
of variations on the CANSLIM theme, rather than a "rules is rules" flock of
WON disciples;

4) The more active of you feel the current technique, "Hey, what do you guys
think of this stock?" fills the need. (The major difference between that
and my concept: it's not organized [I'm an organization man]; it lacks any
particular focus [I'm an organization man]; and it's sort of catch as catch
can [I'm an organization man!].

My overall take?

Among the more frequent members there is a high level of "comfort" with this
forum in its present form. Further, it's blatantly obvious the heavier
users are the more knowledgeable (contrary to most other forums). IMHO, it
stands to reason we'll all get more out of the existing style of dialogue,
if we leave well enough alone.

Thanks to all of you for your input. I look forward to participating, and
hopefully contributing whenever possible. Anyone care to give me a read on
DIAN and MME?

Duke
