Hi Katherine,

Getting the information from QuoteTracker is not hard - it just requires a
httpp query to the server such as

  http://127.0.0.1:16239/req?getLastQuote(CMGI,DELL)

This requires that you have CMGI and DELL in your watchlist or portfolios
recorded in quotetracker.

You can see all of the options available at
http://www.quotetracker.com/qtserver.htm

Using the information is the challenging part. I use PHP but I understand
you can put the http queries into an excel spreadsheet ( although I haven't
tried it) and the n use formulae or macros to manipulate the data.

I'd be happy to provide more detailed information if you were interested in
the technicalities.

Aloha,

Mike Gibbons

  Hi Mike,

  >>This allows me to run scripts that access the streaming quote
information and create price and volume alerts.<<

Is this something that can be easily done with the software (for those of
us that're Web-tech-challenged) or do you need to be a scripting/webpage
design guru like yourself?

  Katherine

I use RJT (www.rjt.com). $5 for all trades for active traders including
real
time streaming quotes. Absolutely no frills web site but I front-end it
with
Medved Quotetracker (www.quotetracker.com) which is free and interfaces
with
RJT's streaming quotes and order entry system.

Best thing about Quotetracker from my perspective is that it includes a
webserver. This allows me to run scripts that access the streaming quote
information and create price and volume alerts.

I use Schwab too-no real complaints. I been curious about Datek-do
they
really have fast executions? How about Cybertrader does anyone use them?
How
about the comparison between Datek and Cybertrader? David
