BRIEF
        SRA is a biotechnology company active in the
        research, development, production and marketing of products
        that address four principal therapeutic areas: reproductive
        health, multiple sclerosis, growth and AIDS wasting.  For
        the FY ended 12/31/01, sales increased 11% to $1.38B.  Net
        income increased 5% to $316.7M.  Sales reflect increased
        market share.  Net income also reflects lower cost of sales
        as a percentage of sales.

In other news, EquityAlert.com (www.equityalert.com) subscribers were
alerted in
real time to news of Serono, Inc. (NYSE: SRA) announcing today that the US
Food
and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Rebif(r) (interferon beta-1a) for
the
treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis.

This approval was based upon the results of two large multi-center studies
in
patients with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). The data
collected
in the PRISMS and EVIDENCE studies, along with years of clinical experience
with
Rebif(r) outside the US, have shown that Rebif(r) provides significant
treatment
benefits for people with relapsing forms of MS.

Noticed the reason for ACDO's tumble this AM was SRA got approval for a
drug that has a different distributor. Anyone know anything about SRA? It
doesn't show up in my scans...
