Don't ignore the influence of the "good ole boys" network. Mutual fund managers, and to a lesser degree the institutional funds managers, do talk to one another. They will tell their "friends" of a stock they are buying (once they are done buying, or if it starts tanking). It seems like if it's mentioned in the New America, or such as UOPX - "Where The Big Moneys Flowing" many traders are playing sell on news with IBD providing the news. No hard data to back that up the fact it came back to its base tends on no "official news" either way leads me to this as the shares were quietly snatched back up today. Per your observation of the two large block trades it adds to my belief they're following WON data. Perhaps I could capture the "Where The Big Moneys Flowing" list each day and see how they act. - -Bill Triffet - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim Fisher" <Tim@orerockon.com> To: <canslim@lists.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 3:59 AM Subject: Re: [CANSLIM] A short ride > This one did bounce off the support at the 50dma big-time.
