If you're simply scanning for breakouts, or other technicals, TC2000 is =
better. For example, when looking for breakouts, I exclude stocks that =
close lower than they open, or close in the lower part of the daily =
range. You can't do this with DGO. On the other hand, DGO allows you =
to refine the scan using certain Canslim characteristics. Since I =
usually don't require a stock to meet every canslim criteria, I must =
make the DGO screen for breakouts somewhat loose, ie. no EPS =
requirement. In the end, I end up with all the same stocks, but =
including those with weak breakouts since I can't exlcude them from DGO. =
However, I find the custom screen feature to be extremely useful for =
setting up my canslim watchlist (where my requirements are more strict). =
In the end, I would like to use them both, but who knows how much it =
will cost.

Rob, have you tried the custom screens available at DGO's beta site? =
If so, how do they compare with TC2000?

I've been using it for 6 years and it's the only software I have that =
I couldn't live without. I use it in conjunction with Dailygraphs. =
TC2000 uses Media General industry groups, which can differ from DGO, so =
I tend to use DGO only for industry group data. TC2000 also includes =
some fundamental data, but again I prefer DGO. =20

I begin my daily analysis with technical scans on TC2000. I then =
follow up with a fundamental review using DGO. Its easy to setup scans =
for breakouts and stocks nearing new highs. I look at these daily. I =
also maintain a watchlist of known Canslim stocks. If nothing else, the =
watchlist and notes features are worth the price of admission. Other =
software I've tried has come and gone, inlcuding Supercharts, =
Tradestation, Quotesplus, and a few others I can't recall, but TC2000 =
remains my favorite. =20

Does anyone use TC2000? I am trying it for a month and was wondering =
if any one has any tips on using it in conjunction with CANSLIM. I would =
also appreciate any comparisons to other stock charting/tracking =
programs.

    Thanks,
    Dave
