Hi Dave, It's a mixture, we access some of the data from our own database (updated daily when the market closes, although it takes a little while to process the data and upload it - usually available by 9pm EST). The company stats are taken from yahoo.investors.com as explained at the bottom of the page. This is not quite CANSLIM related but I am curious. Do you access your own database or does the back end of the evaluator actually query sources on the net? The reason I am curious is that I would be interested in some of the details for my own use if you use a query technique. If you use your own database, how do you populate it? Where do you get the data? Thanks, Dave Bigham |----------> | | |----------> >------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | >------------------------------------------------------------------------| Since I released this tool to the group on 3/13, I (and my server) have been overwhelmed with the response. 182 of you have used the tool at least once and several of you have accessed it frequently. Some of you are using it extensively - the current record is 100 stocks analyzed by one list subscriber in a single day! Apart from being pleasantly surprized at the use that many of you are making of it, I'm also surprized that only one of you has questioned the validity of the data, and the assumptions that go into the pass/fail ranking. I was expecting a lively debate about the definitions of CANSLIM and their applicability in the recent market conditions.
