I think DFXI has a = lot going for it, just personally took a pass on the breakout Thursday, = even though DFXI has been on my live watch for quite a while. The issue = of a breakout on an analyst upgrade is not necessarily a hard and fast = rule, so to speak. The reason it bothered me Thursday had to do with the = "eyes" issue....That is, when there is not a plurality of solid CANSLIM = candidates breaking out, there are many retail eyes on a few good = stocks. As I was watching the action Thursday, most of the trades I saw = going by were small retail trades. My interpretation of that action was = that the majority of the move was not institutional and most likely = spurred on by the Jaffray upgrade and a plethora of buy stops from = CANSLIMers. I don't know where I can get time & sales data from a day = already closed out...but I can give you a summary view of it at = http://iw.thomsonfn.com/iwatch/cgi-bin/iw_ticker?t=3DDFXI&range=3D7&mgp=3D= 20020328&i=3D3&hdate=3D20020328&x=3D12&y=3D12 Look to the pie charts = low on the page and you can see for the data available, the retail buys = were outpacing institutional buys about 3 to 1. It was a = subtle/intuitive issue....and I may just be completely wrong on this = (which happens all the time!) I've learned, however, to trust my = intuition on these things.... my gut says there'll be more opportunities = to buy this one if the growth story is for real.
