Maybe because a smaller percentage of stocks that break out in this spooky 
market continue generating steam, as compared with the boom market of the 
90's.

But I think it is wrong to generalize that breakouts should be sold, not 
bought.  I just think one has to be more persnickety about the breakouts he 
buys and watch them  very closely for any signs of breakdown or persistent 
lack of steam.
