Personally what I like to do to gauge sponsorship is go to
http://www.lionshares.com and see who owns the stock I am looking at.  If
names such as Driehaus, Caxton, Wasatch, Navellier, Zweig, Duquesne,
Maverick, Vinik, Tudor, Soros, Omega, and a few others come up then I feel
that the sponsorship criteria has been met. Not all of them are growth
managers but they all have excellent long term track records. For ideas I
like to look up the different holders and see what they are holding.
