Hi Bill,
Know what you mean about notebooks/scattered pieces of paper/etc having =
been through that myself. In fact, I started keeping a trading journal =
several years ago simply to keep me from generating another piece of =
loose paper that I couldn't find when I needed it. Since then, the =
journal has evolved into a strategy, psychology, trade record, post =
analysis notebook and I've taken all my specific stock notes into a =
single Excel spreadsheet. Literally my "brain in a spreadsheet" =
approach. Each stock gets a row and I have many columns where I keep all =
the pertinent info, including all the CANSLIM criteria, personal notes, =
due diligence highlights, flags for certain actions, etc. That allows me =
to autofilter and sort as needed to look at any specific group of =
stocks. Much easier than looking for the scraps of paper, the =
appropriate page in my journal, and/or keeping up with several different =
spreadsheets and/or watchlists online. What a difference...can't tell =
you how much time it saves...no more repeating what I've already =
done....and no more wondering why I missed looking at the right stock =
when the opportunity arose.

Katherine,
I would like to reorganize my approach to watchlist management. I =
started with a notebook and the Investors.com watchlists (80 stocks max) =
then subscribed to DGO and have started to set up watchlists based on =
market cap ( don't really know why but it seemed like a good way to =
separate them). I still have scattered paper notes around also. Feels =
like I'm back at work and totally disorganized!! Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bill King
